Tony Nagy – Director

Tony has an extensive background in corporate and issues management in Federal and State Government, investment banking and journalism.

Since joining Cosway Australia in 2008, Tony has been involved in a range of public policy and advocacy issues for a diverse range of our clients, including Energy Developments Limited, Virgin Australia, Landis+Gyr and NSW Treasury.

Prior to joining Cosway Australia, Tony was a policy and campaign adviser with the Hon. Senator Joe Ludwig, currently Federal Special Minister of State, for the 2007 election of the Rudd Government.

Previously he spent seven years in corporate affairs and issues management at Prudential Bache and the BNP Paribas Group, which included the Telstra 1 and 2 privatisations, as well as various PPPs and IPOs.

Tony has also held positions as a policy and media adviser with the Law Institute of Victoria and an adviser at Federal and State Government level. He commenced his career as a journalist with the Age and as a paralegal with the SA Legal Services Commission.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Adelaide.   Tony is a Director of Rights Australia, a former Director of A Just Australia and a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance. He is a classical, jazz and world music buff.
